1. I’ll turn 45 years of age with a clean bill of health. My physical assessment showed low cholesterol and sugar levels, with a better than average eyesight of 20/15. Swelling in the shoulder tendons due to impingement has subsided with more mobility and flexibility. After a root canal, one dental implant, two fillings, and one crown… the other (second) dental implant was placed today with no complications. I now have a full set of teeth (again).
2. TJ graduates from college after two quick years. Time flies when he’s having fun, but it’s great to see him mature into an independent thinker. I’m looking forward to watching all the movies they made in school, then we’re watching the new Wolverine movie. And then we celebrate Mother’s day with the best wife and mother only God could give.
3. It’s official… I don’t have to leave the country for a combat zone. The extra money would have been great, but staying close to home this close to retirement is far more better. I’ve already moved out of my apartment so now I have to move into the barracks. As it turns out, the money i’m saving on rent would be close to the money I would have made overseas. Only God could have designed things to turn out this way.
Just a month ago I had borderline cholesterol and sugar levels together with a really painful shoulder, and I was being slated to leave the country before TJ’s graduation. Then today, in just one day, all three blessing became possible. God is good…
